Pacific Estate Ltd was established in 1998 is a privately owned land development company under the directorship of Alf Simpson in joint venture with the Wells Estate. The land owned by the Wells Estate is a long established family farm, a portion of the farm has been converted into new Residential sections. The Company is based in Whitianga.
Alf Simpson has had a long history in roading and earthmoving construction with a number of subdivisions (Harbourlights, Robinson Road, Parkland Place) constructed by him in the 60 ’s and 70’s in the Whitianga area. The family left for Taupo in the early 80 ’s and returned to Whitianga in 1998 to undertake this development.
The project undertaken follows common principles which encompass detailed planning, a high standard of construction and protection of the natural environment resulting in a quality development of lasting value.
The first stages of the development included the extension to Surf Street off Cook Drive (Stage 1) and the addition of the street Pipi Dune (Stage 2). Following on Stage 3 was developed on the parcel of land to the North of Racecourse road with an extension to Marlin Street and the two new streets of Pacific Place and Wells Place.
Stage 4 consisting of stages 4a – 4e, takes the development to the edge of the Taputapuatea Stream and natural bush back drop with hills and farmland. Stage 4 has now been completed with four new streets added Clipper Place, Captain Wood Avenue, Dotterel Place, an extension to Cook Drive and the final street Alf Simpson Drive completed 2016.
200 sections have been developed in this desirable sort after location and new residences have been constructed along the way by new section owners with a complementary mix of permanent and holiday homes.
